Gabrielle Ross (Linkedin) is the founder and chief architect of customapps.app and all of its functionality.
She is currently working with MIT Professor Andrew Vanderburg and MIT graduate student Zoe Luca de Beurs with the MIT/NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) to confirm the existence of exoplanet discoveries. She presented this exoplanet work at Yale's 8th Emerging Researchers in Exoplanet Science (ERES VIII) conference (June 2023), MIT's TESS Mission Update Meeting (June 2023), and MIT's TESS Science Talk (February 2024). Her paper as primary author has been published in the scientific journal, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS), and physics collection archive, arXiv (December 2023).
Previously she was awarded a competitive summer internship at the Naval Research Laboratories, focused on astrophysics and artificial intelligence in 2021. Gabrielle was also awarded New York State Assembly's Women of Distinction Award in 2021. Gabrielle has also been on staff for the Government office of an elected member of New York State's Assembly.
Gabrielle has currently developed multiple unique iPhone applications, including a multiplayer augmented reality Basketball game (Hoop AR) which was named a "Hidden Gem of the App Store" in a sports game review article. Lastly, Gabrielle has won several collegiate and graduate-level hackathons across North America.
She is a part of Princeton University's Class of 2027.
